Leah Not Leia to Premiere at IMAX Hamilton 16 Theaters
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Soon to be the must see Indiana-made film of the summer, Leah Not Leia will have its big premiere event at IMAX Hamilton 16, Friday, July 1st at midnight. Q&A as well as a meet-and-great with cast and crew will follow the screening.

About Leah Not Leia
A baby girl born during the Star Wars boom of 1977 is given a name that happens to be similar to a certain Jedi Princess. This comedy short strikes back for every kid named Scotty that had to hear "Beam me up" repeatedly, or every girl named Jenny that had to listen to that infamous telephone number over and over again. Filmed in Noblesville, Indianapolis, and Westfield, Indiana.

Written by Kate Chaplin. Directed by Thomas A. Johnson & Nathaniel Savidge.

Starring: Liz Collar (In the Long Run), Chris Spurgin (A Time for the Heart), Joshua Ramsey (My Bloody Wedding), Carrie Fedor (Hoosier Lotto). Listed on IMDB.

So very much going on! It's been amazing several months. We've been working with a wide array of corporate clients and finishing up two films.

 

Leah Not Leia- a film about how Star Wars can ruin your life- was recently completed. It is scheduled to premiere later this month, plus it has been selected to screen at Gen Con Indy and InConJunction. Like us on facebook! LNL will also be holding a screening with a Q&A session for the August Indy Final Cut Pro Users Group in August.

 

We are also wrapping up post currently on Butlertown Producctions' "Inside Perspective." This should be ready to roll out later this month!

General update for August 2010-

It's a busy summer for Inverted Staircase Productions.

The Last Bottle, our short about 2 men battling it out for the last bottle of their favorite beverage, will be screening at Gen Con Indy this Saturday at Noon and Sunday at 11:30AM as part of "Short Film Block A" The film has also been selected to screen at the Estes Park Film Festival in Estes Park, Colorado.

Leah Not Leia completed primary shooting in June. There will be a few "pick-up" shots later this summer, but the post production process has begun. The initial trailer is up on YouTube.

This August, ISP is crewing for Just Real Quick Productions' film Suck It Up Buttercup. ISP is providing Audio 2/Boom Op and Assistant Camera services.

Inverted Staircase Productions' Thomas Johnson & Nate Savidge will be directing the upcoming production of Leah Not Leia. ISP has teamed up with Karmic Courage Productions on this comedic jaunt. Filming begins on June 16, 2010 in the northern Indianapolis area.

Scoring the Dream, ISP's documentary looking at Composer Steven Wilhelm's experiences in recording his first two orchestral ballads, will be premiering at the 2010 River Bend Film Festival. It will screen in during the Saturday, May 1st, 9:00AM block as part of the Potpourri Short Films.

The Last Bottle to play Wet Your Pants Comedy Film Fest PDF Print E-mail

Inverted Staircase Productions' "The Last Bottle" will be competing in this year's Wet Your Pants Comedy Film Festival! The film will screen during the 7:30 block. Cost for admission to just that block is $8, two blocks of films is $15, or an event pass is $20.

For two friends, a typical evening of hanging out watching television turns into brutal warfare when a terrifying discovery is made: They are down to the last bottle of their favorite beverage!  Guns blaze, blades are drawn, and fantasy comes alive in this epic tale.

About the Wet Your Pants Comedy Film Festival

Stick Figure Pictures & the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana proudly present the inaugural Wet Your Pants Comedy Film Festival.  The festival's goal is to showcase the best of independently produced comedy films from around the country while raising money for the National Kidney Foundation in memory of Steven M. Pearce, who recently lost his battle with Chronic Kidney Disease.  Steven was always the life of the party, making the lives of everyone who knew him better through laughter.

The festival is being held on Saturday, November 21, 2009, at the Carmel Community Playhouse at Clay Terrace in Carmel, IN.

Stick Figure Pictures is an Indiana based production company currently focused on short film production.  Started in 2005 by producer/director/editor Brian Pearce, Stick Figure has produced three short films, edited many more and is currently working on a television pilot and feature film with Manning Road Productions.  Stick Figure Pictures strongly supports the National Kidney Foundation.
